About Adrian

I have been playing the guitar for 25 years and teaching full time since 2008. I'm a member of The Registry of Guitar Tutors and The Musicians' Union and have an array of qualifications including a BA (Hons) in Professional Musicianship from Brighton Institute of Modern Music. Alongside performance, music theory and songwriting, completing this course included studying Music Teaching Practice.

Whilst studying for my degree, I received tuition from acclaimed guitarists such as Guthrie Govan (Guitarist of the Year 1993, Guitarist Magazine) and attended masterclasses given by Tommy Emmanuel and Mark Knopfler. These provided great inspiration for my technical development and creativity.

In terms of performing experience, I have played with function bands, musical productions, rock groups and gospel choirs, providing entertainment at theatres, clubs, bars, stately homes, hotels and festivals across the UK.

In addition to the guitar and ukulele, I enjoy playing banjo, drums and piano, singing and I am also learning to play the saxophone. I have diverse musical influences and tastes, with some of my favourites including The Beatles, Queen, Nile Rodgers, The Zac Brown Band, John Frusciante and John Mayer.
